Exquisite detail tucked away on the West Front.
The facade rises several stories high, but even at those heights where no-one not lifted by dizzying scaffolds could hope to see with the naked eye, great attention was paid to intricate detail.
I find this utterly intriguing, wondering about the various possible motivations.
