The next edition of the newsletter arrived with more tailormade recommendations for me.
Because I purchased or rated "Jane Eyre" amazon recommends "Wuthering Heights". Probably the algorithm is not clever enough to notice that I have also "purchased or rated" the same "Wuthering Heights".
Because I purchased or rated "Catch-22" and "Ulysses" amazon recommends "Brave New World" and "On the Road". O-o-okay, I think I can see where that comes from.
Because I purchased or rated "The Great Gatsby" and "Catch-22" amazon recommends "One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Sun Also Rises". Again, it missed the fact that I have also "purchased or rated" those two.
And among the "176 items" I have so far "purchased or rated" on amazon.com (many more rated than purchased, FYI), they seemed to have picked "Catch-22" to fixate on...
